RACHEL AND SARAH is about to launch!

I wish I could get pictures to load on here.  I'm particularly pleased with the cover on this book.  It was my idea, but Hubby took the picture.  I "artfully arranged" a bunch of antique music sheets on top of an antique commode, with an antique inkwell on one side (complete with hawk feather - we don't have turkeys) and an antique candle-holder on the other side.  The candle is the only thing that isn't an antique.  Well, and the sheets of music - I printed them off the internet, thereby possibly infringing on someone's copyrighted material!  Anyway, the picture is taken from above and you get the pretty old sheets of music and the antique oak wood and metal drawer pulls.  it's just grand!

The book should be up on Amazon in a couple of days.  If you happen to think of it, you could check out the cover then.

I'm going to go put on my nightie and take a nap.  I was up literally all night long and have only dozed for a few minutes since then.

Sounds like it came out tremendously well. I am so glad. I wish I had written some of my books. I have all kinds of things started. All kinds of ideas. Nothing finished. All those years ago when I had that book written and had 2 different agents that tried to sell it. When it did not sell something inside of me died. I’m not sure if I will ever be able to finish another novel. I am trying for a novella. I hope I can finish something. I’d ask for a prayer from you, but I know you no longer believe. Send me good thoughts, please, that I can finish something. Thanks. Good luck to you. I know someday soon I will be saying I knew her when.

You CAN finish something – and publish it yourself just like I do. It’s not that hard once you get the hang of it.

You really think, I could finish something? Even after all that happened to me and the way I felt. I keep forgetting what is the name of your publishing house? You get paperbacks published? And you have to get them $100 before you get any money. But as long as you do everything you don’t have to pay them anything? Sorry I keep forgetting it all. I promise I will write it down this time. Is it Create something or what? Are you books novels or novellas? Thanks, Betty.Would I get a copy of my book or would I have to buy it?

Okay, here goes: Yes, you absolutely can finish something. A novella is a good idea. The publisher is createspace.com a website that’s connected to amazon.com. They only publish paperbacks and e-books. They suggest what your book should cost, and they show you what your royalty will be for each book. My royalties run around $2 per book, so after I sell 50 books or so I get a check for $100.00. They don’t pay royalties until you earn at least $100.00. I write novels, all at least 200 pages long, usually around 235 or 240. If you want a copy of your book, you have to buy it. Createspace sells them at a discount, but you don’t get a royalty if you buy it from them, plus they don’t have free shipping. You might not want to do this, since your books will be on amazon.com and you say you’ve had trouble with them before. Anyway, I always buy at least two copies of each book and I always get them from Amazon.com so I’ll get the royalty.

That’s what I thought. I have to write all this stuff down so I will know what goes with it. I am going to try so hard to finish something good and send it to them or whatever. I will want a paperback I think. I would like to have 2 copies. You are so much help. I will have to put you on the dedication page along with my daughter and hubby. Y’all have all help me so much..
